The most arch support I've ever had in a pair of shoes were a pair of White's 350 on the 55 arch-ease last. I didn't need the support but it was fairly comfortable. None of the Wescos I've tried had anywhere near that level of arch support.

Wesco has better stitching and construction uniformity (especially on the quarters) if that is important to you. I've never really seen a perfect pair of White's outside of their Goodyear welted Main Street line whereas I've seen plenty of well finished Wescos.

Both are work boot companies and I'm sure a uniform stitch run is not something that is of high concern for them. I think the Wescos are priced at a premium too so that is another consideration. The White's though, are a more burly shoe.

As someone in the UK who is considering a pair of White’s I was also wondering how Wesco compare?

Iron Heart have a selection and I like the look of the jobmaster in British tan.

One of the big appeals of Whites to me is the arch support and I was wondering how the Wesco compare in support and just general comfort?

I hear Wesco are supposed to be better finished off.

Thanks

I just snagged these off ebay. Can anyone tell me if: 1) are they Warrens 2) what leather? The seller says they're burgundy (domain?) but they don't look as popping red as some pics of burgundy domain Wescos I've seen before.

They look like Warrens in their Redwood leather. Not 100% sure on which toe shape though.

Aren't all Warren's made with the bump toe? I thought that was one of the differences between Warren (bump toe) vs Jobmaster (boss toe)? I agree that the smooth side looks like Redwood but the roughout portions look like burgundy domain. Anyways I'll post back here when they arrive.

Yeah you should know right away when you get it. The domain leathers are a dressy pull-up and fairly supple. The redwood is more like a well rounded work leather.

AFAIK you can configure the Warren with at least 4 different toe styles.

Just throwing this out there - anyone looking for a pair of Wesco engineers in black horse hide in 11E? I picked up a pair to try but won't be keeping them.

So kind of a dumb question, but I have my first paid of Wesco's (Boss 7500) arriving on Tuesday. They come with a leather removable insole? Should I upgrade to a superfeet insole or is stock comfortable enough?

They do come with a removable insole. Can't speak to comfort but I've stuck with stock insert. I'd personally wait to see how the boots fit and comfort out of the box before upgrading though.
