as long as politicians are making what they are, we are boned.  Put 'em ALL on minimum wage and see what happens.


Why are we boned due to the salaries of politicians?

What would happen is elected official would be asking "do you want fries with that legislation". Most democracies have too many politicians but they certainly aren't overpaid. I'd suggest drastically reducing the number of legislators, drastically increasing their pay and putting meaningful well enforced caps on campaign contributions would be a better idea than putting them on minimum wage. It might lead to very talented people being drawn to politics without undue influence from vested interest groups.
