that was my response to F. Corbera. Preceded by a mere seconds by Slewfoot and his comment on the 95/96 vintage. I just think Slew and I should be credited for the witty retorts (great minds think a like and all that). If you do not know what is being discussed, don't worry, assume it has something to do with

Do squirreled threads mean that your posts in it are deducted from your post count?

I would do a search, but you seem to be in the know.

'86 was a great year. Platoon, Top Gun, Highlander, Aliens, Hoosiers and and Ferris Bueller.

it's the "2003 NBA Draft" of movie years

86 was a great year...just not for Latour...very underrated for Burgundy though. Well worth a shot to try well stored bottles. And there endeth the lesson.

As a professional, would you find a cellar stocked only in 86 Latour unusual?

What I'm thinking of here is a kind of mafoofan cellar. Thank you.

Referencing Highlander and a year without using the creepy quote from the scene with him at Brenda's apartment, come on.

1783 was a very good year. Mozart wrote his Great Mass. The Montgolfier brothers went up in the first hot-air balloon. And England recognized the independence of the United States.

1986 was a very bad year. Chernobyl melted down near Kiev. The Space Shuttle Challenger disintegrated 73 seconds after launch. And Reagan and Gorbachev failed to reach an agreement in Reykjavik, Iceland.

The One Wine. That would be an interesting theory in the evolution of wine cellars. I'll run it by my clients and see what they think. If not with 86 Latour then 08 Gallo Cabernet Sauvignon should suffice.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
