Well-fitting slim denim for guy with bigger thighs?

Hi all, searched around for a while and didn't see anything that helped me out so here I am. I'm looking to buy some denim, nice and slim through the lower legs (for pairing with a sport coat or sport shirt) that will 1) fit well in my larger thighs and knees (I'm not fat - I ride horses), 2) be college-affordable; I don't have my great job in minerals yet, and 3) preferably not be super worn/vintage/faded/whatever.

Out of the three, I'm most willing to sacrifice my mini-crusade against faded dye.

Any ideas? Thanks a lot.

I have the same problem. Your best bet is to try 3sixteen or Taylor Stitch. I'd say go with Taylor Stitch, it's cheaper and same ****. Both jeans are roomy in the thighs, unfortunately there isn't much of a taper in either. So next I'd suggest bringing it in to a tailor to get it tapered.

I heard APC learn to fit you after a couple of wears. Unfortunately they aren't as affordable as before but they are an investment I am willing to make.

I have big thighs as well and will be checking out APC soon so I'll let you know how it goes.

I've got pretty big thighs, and I love Taylor Stitch. Just enough room, and just enough taper. They're 8" in the leg opening, tapered from the knee. Enough to look slim, but not skinny.

I have relatively large glutes, quads and calves and am happy with the fit of APC New Standards - on my second pair in 8 years or so. They're slim through the lower leg but certainly not tapered. As has been said above, they do fit/confirm nicely to the body with wear. APC also have other more tapered cuts available and I would recommend at least checking them out :)

So I went to try on some APCs today, spent an hour there because I really wanted to get the perfect fit. I tried the most popular fits which I'll talk a bit about:

APC New Standard: Very comfortable but the fit was a bit too loose. I have big thighs and calves but this was just a bit too much fabric. LIke the above comment, they're not tapered so I put these aside.

APC Petit New Standard: These were way too skinny. I had to size up a size from the other APCs and then it was quite nice. They were slim and I wouldn't mind getting one of these.

APC Petit Standard: These hit the nail on the head. I'm normally a size 30 so I tried on the size 30 and they were just right. But everyone knows APCs will stretch so I tried on the 29. I managed to get all the buttons done up which is pretty good but they were really really tight. The guy helping assured me that they will stretch to fit around my legs and that I should go with the 29. I managed to sit down on a chair even though almost half the back of my jeans were about to slip off. I think when I'll go with the Petit Standard size 29.
