Can anyone recommend a nice weekend/duffle bag. Anything but Louis Vuitton.

Thanks

I have this one in the dark brown. It is sold by Pickett, but made by Tusting. The sueded canvas is pretty sturdy and it is very well made. The dark brown coordinates will all my shoes pretty well.

Globetrotter, is this the one? Tumi I'm also in the market for a weekender. I think it's down to this one or the Coach

I've been looking at the bags from Floto. Â The Venezia and Milano models both look pretty nice. Â I'm still hesitating because it's hard to judge the leather quality and construction from a few pictures on a website.

Go with Valextra. They're available at Takashimaya in NYC and Barneys. Gorrgeous and a snip at only 3 grand. Swaine Adeney does weekend bags in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from wedges and Gladstones to formal hardside suitcases to laid back grips in all leather or leather and canvas. Try Sterling & Burke, www.classicluggage.com -- while they say they're DC based I've never found their store on Conn Ave. However, they're dependable. I would imagine Goyard would be similar to Vuitton in certain ways, and it conjures up either comediennes d'un certain age like Catherine Deneuve or absurdly hip absurdly rich girls. I don't _think_ scnupe is aiming at that.
