    Aren't these called Macclesfield ties?

I'll trade it for a Rubinacci gift certificate.
I hear Tep-doc wants to try the new cologne. Maybe you could buy him a bottle with your certificate.

Not all of them. The checks are not Macclesfields. The raised weave jacquards are.

Also, all Macclesfields are not wedding ties. The color palatte matters. There are lovely Macclesfields in all colors, but only some of them are really wedding ties.

I don't think he would trade with me. Apparently I did something to upset him, though I don't know what it was. Sad. You'd think that we dissatissfied Nicolosi customers would have a bond.

Brooks sells them too, at least at 346 Madison.

    Groom above all.

    Best man and groomsmen next.

Attendees, nice but not necessary. Personally, I always wear one as an attendee.

If others wear the same tie, is there anything the groom can wear to "stick out?"

A Morning suit rather than a stroller suit? That'd make you stand out.

Thanks - but I was thinking tie wise if most people will be all decked out in mostly the same garb.

The groom could wear a beautiful antique tie pin, like the House of Windsor does at Royal weddings.

At each wedding I have attended, everyone present has known who was the groom; and if anyone began the proceedings in error or in doubt, this confusion was removed during the exchange of vows.

My point was not to be able to identify the groom. It was to give him some special status on His day.

I've strayed from 'identifying myself' on my wedding day. I don't like the idea of being more formal than my groomsmen, and I didn't ask them to all wear the same tie or colors, so it's not like I can easily differentiate myself.

Most people do not wear a morning suit to a wedding. Hell most people don't even wear what I would call a proper lounge (stroller) suit to a wedding.

A Morning suit is white tie for the day, and includes a tails coat, wing collar, waistcoat and top hat (I think the appropriate colour is dove gray for the jacket). My uncle got married in one.

OK, let's see if I got this right. The first three are wedding ties because of the color and pattern. The fourth is a macclesfield, but not a wedding tie because of the color pattern, correct?

A great wedding tie illustration: [IMG]
These wedding ties are swell! Is is OK to wear them at occasions other than a wedding?

I have a black/white: macclesfield, houndstooth, glenplaid, and shepard's check, so I'm all set! [IMG]

This blue glen check is really nice.

I have one almost exactly like that one.

Wow. It is so not 'His' day. The day before the wedding is the last 'His' day for a long time. [IMG] As for special status? A buttonhole usually works.
