Good Morning,

Getting married in Jamaica in April 09. It will be hot & humid!!Looking for some help in putting a suit together. It will be about 4:30 pm with the reception also outside.
I've done a search, but couldn't really find anything ,besides maybe, having an extra shirt and/or tie for the reception.

Suit: Is a cotton/linen suit probable? tan, natural color?
Shirt: Linen? white?
Tie: Have the pool blue mixed in the tie
Color: Her dress is white. Main color is pool blue
Shoes: ??

Thanks for your time.

Congratulations!

Linen makes great suits in humid weather. Heavy Irish linen (11/12oz+) isn't that much hotter, and tends not to wrinkle-- just rumple.

Linen shirts are likewise better than most cotton, although there are some excellent linen/cotton blends if you look hard enough.

Sounds like you have the colors under control. In the heat and bright sun, you can get away with somewhat lighter shoes than on the East Coast in April. Chestnut brown, or perhaps mahogany will go very well with the tan linen. Perhaps go for a white straw hat?
