Hi Guys

Am going to a wedding ...and as one of the grooms men i am required to wear light grey, white shirt, and sky blue tie.

I then have another wedding the following week, giving me my own personal choice on what to wear.

Please bear in mind, I live in a tropical country, so its hot all year out.

My question is, since I am having my first bespoke suit made for the first wedding (light grey) I might as well use the same one for my other wedding, in which I plan to wear this:

but what do you think of the shirt and tie i plan to wear?- suit i have no choice but to use that same color, but the shirt and tie, was thinking of using this as well..

or this

Feed back would be great!

Thanks!

I hope to pop up a little a be different from the crowd, but not too much as it is after all my friends wedding.
(just enough for the bridesmaid to notice me haha jk)

Thanks!

There is nothing wrong with a light grey suit, especially in a hot climate it is probably as much a staple item as dark grey / navy in temperate climate.

Option 1 is OK, but would be better with a navy tie IMHO

Option 2 ... nope

Option 3 ... nope

THanks Alex..

given that i have to stick with the grey suit in the first pic...

what other options do you think would look great? (for shirt and tie/bowtie)

am wanting to pop a little..isntead of blend in..

(pop in a good way though)

I guess you are not looking for understatement (in which case light blue shirt in combination with a navy or brown grenadine tie would be nice), right? In this case version one with navy tie is a good option.

Forget the bow tie. You are merely a groomsman and must not aim to be "little a be different from the crowd". YOU are not the centre of attention merely nobody on these occasions.

The last wedding I went to, I was the only man dressed in a simple mid/light grey (it was a glen plaid) suit, white shirt and navy tie. Out of about 150 male guests. Previous to that, I wore the same combo, and there was only one other guy in a grey (his was a light grey) suit with white shirt and navy tie. Again, out about 100 male guests. My point being that because everyone else is trying so hard to be different, you actually will probably stand out more (or "pop", if you will) by just keeping it simple and staying with the basics.

I just learned though that for Wedding number 1...all groomsmen are required to wear a bowtie...should i wear suspenders?

If, you normally wear them, your trousers will fall down otherwise or are cut for them yes, if this is simply another affectation, no.
