Have my step-sisters wedding (not part of the wedding party) coming up this weekend and although I wanted to wear a solid white FC shirt, the tie pictured and a charcoal (BB Standard Dark Gray Fitzgerald, not the suit pictured which is black) suit, the solid white shirt looks like it's not going to work out... SO, opinions on this shirt/tie combo for a wedding? Thanks

Looks good enough.
Similar white shirt would look equally good.
Tie needs a better knot.

shirt looks rather 'business'-y to me, so I'd prefer self-patterned plain white FC or a more subtle blue pattern. I'm not feeling the bold shaddow stripe for a wedding.

Not really. Prince Charles wears really aggressive spreads with the tiniest of knots and looks good doing so all the time.

LOL! No hope for you?
Just pull the easiest knot of all, the four-in-hand!
(the secret to always get a nice dimple in it is to pull the tie's large blade down before the last inner pass)

Thanks everyone for their opinions.

When you say pull the large blade down.... I do this, but then it makes teh hole to put the tie though tight and snug.. I then have to loosen the tie back up to get it though the last pass??
