I've been alerted that I am supposed to give a nice gift to my soon to be wife at my wedding....(by her)... What would be a good gift to give her? Im trying to think of something timeless so handbag is out and it can't be a camera either. Can go up to $2000 but no higher.

Do you have any back story on this? What was her reasoning (did she refer to some kind of ettiquette manual?)?

I think she has many gifts already:
1. Engagement ring which she can flash to her friends for months.
2. Wedding Ring
3. Wedding - whole massive too expensive party where she's the center of attention.

Her family MAY be paying...but agree...that is still a "gift" and the focus is "usually" on da bride.
I think she is pulling the "ookie-doke" on her soon to be husband. He falls for this now, he better be prepared for more **** to come...
