Weatherproofing Gloves

Just wondering if most people use a weatherproofing product on gloves. I have never bothered before. I recently got a new pair of Dents deer skin gloves and was thinking about trying to extend their life.

Would a silicone based spray product for leather work?

Any opinions appreciated.

Dear Ed13

It probably would, but remember that the more waterproof the leather is, the less well it will breathe. In place of a proprietary substance, any clean fat, skin care product or even cooking oil (true!) is better than nothing. Hope this helps.
