Wearing Suits Casually

Do you wear suits casually without a tie? If so, how do you do it?

I would like to do so, but I'll get tired of dealing with people asking why I'm dressed up. Is there a style of suit thats better for wearing casually without a tie, unbuttoned shirt, etc? Stripes or no stripes?

if you are wearing a matching jacket and pants (suit), I would not say it is casual.

It is possible, with a khaki suit in the summer for example...sockless with some loafer...

I'm baller status, so I wear suits casually with a tie. A tie that I'm also wearing casually.

If you decide to not wear a tie just make sure you either have collar stays in the collar, or you aren't wearing a cheap flimsy shirt. Nothing looks worse than a folded over flimsy collar under a jacket. Notice in the pictures you posted that his collar is always crisp and upright.

Unfortunately, and emphasis on unfortunately, I do not think that it can be done. However, I roam this thread with the hope that someone will bring forward evidence to the contrary.

You can get away with dress shoes paired with jeans and the like though...

I think it depends on the fabric... ive seen cotton, linen and cashmere suits worn without a tie and loafers.

Single button navy suit with flat front pants and no cuffs.Side adjusters ...no belt.Mid weight fabric with slight sheen.Think Gucci/Tom Ford/YSL.
Team it with a high collared Italian style shirt in either plain sky blue sea island or ivory silk.....or something with an interesting pattern.
Plain navy socks and brown suede loafer or other slip on shoes. Avoid crazy socks.No PS.
Good quality watch and no other jewellery.
The watch and shirt is the main focus...the suit is the supporting act.
Fairly European look.

These days it seems everyone will ask why you are dressed up if you wear anything resembling a suit. Then again I suppose it depends on the environment and company in which it is worn. Solid color, cotton, less formal details (like patch pockets, etc) might be the way to go.

Both the whitish suits are beach/resort wear. If you wear something like that and you're asked about being dressed up you need a better crowd. Hobos maybe?
