Where do you see people in red shirts / black ties? I've never seen anybody in my greek system wear that out. A few brothers may wear a black suit with red shirt black tie but not for going out?
And something overdyed red like the BoO shirts would look good imo

I would see it all the time in University at banquets or events where frat guys had to dress up. I'm in Texas though, so its not like we are known for the best tastes in fashion.

Ok, forget the burgundy shirt. What would you guys recommend ? As I said, I like the grey/white look but don't know how to pull it off, as I feel it will look too officey.
It is a work thing, and everyone is wearing shirt and tie FYI.

I never thought I would post a picture of Zac Efron, but I like this kind of look for young guys. Some people think it is played out but I think it looks nice and sporty.

Cool. Is a suit jacket vital? Wasn't planning on buying one.
Well if the ladies love him in it then it must work haha.

The above look is still too much for clubbing, ZE's outfit would be great in the office for young guys.

If you really want to go for the grey and white look, just a white shirt and grey trouser, the trouser should be very slim fit so it does not look like suit separates

The ladies love him because he is famous and have a good amount of disposable income

Not really with the outfit

True. Plus, if he is going out without a jacket then he should ditch the tie.

See the 'haha' at the end, I was joking.

What type of smart clothes would be acceptable to go clubbing in then ?
The look is really a one-off since it is a work night out.

Is this look nice ?

How old are you?

What do you do for work?

What sort of nightclub are you going to?

This would help us to help you. ,

Just wear what you like and go, if you are confident in what you are wearing and it fits, it makes a much bigger difference than finding that perfect shirt. And who knows what happens, I've have multiple items ruined after nights out. For example I had a Uniqlo blackwatch blazer that I really liked from Japan and after a long night out in Shoreditch as we were leaving we went to pick up our coats, and some pissed girl had used about 4 of our coats as her personal puke rag. Needless to say, that is why I'm looking for a that blazer in my sig.

Sorry about that, I miss it.....

The gingham shirt is great, that with grey trouser will do

However, if you have a bit to spend, take a look at the leather shirts

I knew they are pricy, but they do last very long, I have a grey leather shirt by hermes 5 years ago and still looks great, the more they are worn the better they are

Not much leather shirt are worn these days, look around in vintage shop if you are lucky enough to get one

The good thing about leather shirts are they feel warmer and more durable than cotton shirt. During winter in UK I can wear this shirt to walk to the club not feeling freezing.

And obviously they are unique, you will get some subtle attention
