What's wrong with them? Fit or the reaction to them on SF?

I WANTED 11UK SOOOO bad but no matter how much I pleaded with Betty, she said 10.5 is the largest they had..unless I went MTO...AND that was a whole different ball game!

As for the JL's, it will be an absolute shame to let them go, because I'm quite sure they must be one of the rarest pair of shoes I have ever come across...I mean try finding even a picture of a pair online!
But they are a bit too snug, width-wise. Length is fine, strangely enough, even though they are a 10E.
The SF reaction, is in my opinion, more knee jerk than rational..as I'm sure no-one has actually seen a pair in real life!

Has anyone attempted a DIY-Home-Stretch?

Had cause to have a pair slightly stretched so took them to a local trusted cobbler who used something very similar to this and hey presto perfect!! and have been ever since with no apparent damage or visible signs that they'd ever been touched. The process took about 3/4 days :thumbs-up:

I am 100% sure this is not an option for me...would stuffing some socks around my larger trees and shoving them in for a few days work?

Any reason why a "professional" stretch wouldnt work ?? Worked on my Grenson Masterpieces and i'm fairly sure now i think it worked on a pair of Greens too ??? Its not as "aggresive" as it looks believe me !!

I live in India, where cobbler means dude on the road with a box.
There are no professional cobblers, or the like here. Hence, I do not have that option available to me.
I did look at all the shoe stretchers around..and I'm guessing they should work....on shoes!! There are no ankle boot stretchers available????
