They are great slippers if you can find them on deal. 650 MSRP is a bit steep imo.

Rambro, I'm confused here. There are no rules against wearing slippers. My only rule for them is that they are worn in one's own home either when lounging around or entertaining. They come off when you leave the house. While it seems like you object them to completely, there is definitely no rule against wearing them.

Slippers (especially needle point) can be worn with many outfits outside the home with great effect. Denim, casual slim odd trousers and jacket, the list goes on and on.

Yeah, I know this is now the popular opinion. However, I will forever see them as house shoes. It's the stodgy old man in me. I see wearing house shoes outside the home as very forced and affected. Just my take.

Funnily enough, John Goodman's character in The Big Lebowksi is pretty much how I have always pictured Rambo.

Of course, I did not mean to come off as snarky.

I love needle point slippers for whatever reason as they seem to work with with many casual outfits. I get a lot of comments when I wear my navy hopsack DB, a simple blue chambrey BD, with some slim odd trousers and a my red slippers believe it or not. They sort of set of and otherwise "boring" look.

Buy yourself a pair of needlepoints from Stubbs and give it a try! Time to do something drastic!

No worries, didn't detect any snark. I actually own two pairs of needlepoint slippers and I posted one of them on the last page. I actually wear needlepoint belts quite frequently (big Smathers and Branson fan) and so I can see the allure of the needlepoint slipper. That said, I just have a mental block on wearing them out of the house. Though I always wear them when entertaining in my home and in those cases they are generally worn with normal attire.

    Got it.

It's time to get through this block, your needlepoints with odd trousers and sc out on the town! Tonight is the night, ha-ha.

i like slippers ... and i like stuff made out of camo ... but the two to the right are just bad (meaning everything except the camo DB, which is pretty nice).

the one in the middle is the most atrocious. the one on the left has minute repeating patterns, so in the right fit i can see it working.

the tie and p/s are pretty bad ... i don't care who makes them.

again this is the peacock thread - not the i failed at CBD with outrageous choices thread. too much trash being posted lately

    get it together people!!
