Beat me to it.

I realise my outfit above would work well with a navy Valstarino as well. Just need to get the courage to splurge £1000 on the one for sale at Mr Porter currently.
You know it makes sense :)

Hello and I hope everyone is well. We took one of our grandsons and his wife out for Sunday brunch today and had a great time. My local-ish tailor recently made me another pair of britches and I wore them today for the first time. FYI that’s me and “The Boss.” Proud grandma too!

I can't think of a better option.
A little color under the jacket
I see your point. Perhaps with a burgundy or orange shetland, like the ones the Haberdashery at Anderson & Sheppard do every year.

Not sure I'd be able to pull it off though. the grey feels a bit more 'me'.

Only pic taken but I think it’s a cracker.

Mind if I ask where you got the Shetland sweater? It seems to be a very good fit on you.

First time tying a Windsor, in retrospect it's too big for the outfit . I'll use a smaller knot next time.

I'm really, really let down by these Paul Frederick pants. They are denim "dress" trousers, they looked good online. The problem is the fabric: 91% cotton, 7%polyester, 2% spandex. I take full responsibility here, I should have paid more attention to the fabric breakdown online. I specifically looked at PF because they're an older, more conservative brand so I figured they'd handle pleated cuffed denim well. The spandex absolutely kills these pants, it ruins how they drape and flow. I recognize that cuffed and pleated denim is a retro look, and you ruin it if you make them with modern sensibilities and turn them into jeggings. And even worse they are are pretty wide at the cuff which is what I wanted but if it's wide you don't need the spandex. I don't know who's asking for this, you don't need spandex in more formal clothing. If it doesn't fit accept your build and size up like an adult or buy a different model.

And of course I spilled something on them immediately so I cant return them.
