The clothes work very well. Please tell us more about the vintage cars in what appears to be
a beautiful street in Paris?
Thank you.
I had the luck to came across a film set that morning. I thought the vintage cars image worked rather well with my outfit, and that they were a very nice background for the picture.
This one was really beautiful.

Legend has it that the colors for the tweed fabrics were chosen as follows: the lord sent a servant with a sample of the fabric "to nature"; and if the lord could not distinguish the servant against the background of the local landscapes, the color and pattern were approved...

I really like this look without the jacket. I think this particular jacket isn’t best for jeans. I think it is too long and the shoulders are too wide for you. A different jacket or no jacket is the way to go IMO. The vest and boots are amazing.

Thank you for your insights. I like the fabric from which this jacket is made, but the shoulders have always been an issue, which is most likely why it was a sale item at Austin Reed when I bought it there several years ago. I believe that I was also wider when the jacket was purchased, and might have thought (mistakenly) that the wider shoulders would draw attention away from my wider midsection (after all, that thinking worked for Henry VIII - why not me?). It might well become a candidate for de-accession.

The vest I've had for some 15 years, and the boots were picked up at my local Nordstrom Rack a couple of years ago. The soles are rubber, and are hence good for days like today, when the pavement is wet.

A casual outing, with some "lifestyle" photos - the Met Museum's Costume Institute exhibition, "About Time - Fashion & Duration" - everything old is new again, re-imagined.
