1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Hat works there. If a rule of thumb is needed, might I suggest: If tie then bucket hat = 0

I'm wearing a denim shirt, fair isle sweater, moleskin pants and indy boots. Maybe you and I have different def of casual.
I've never worn a tie and this hat at the same time.

I dont know if I'm still in the realm of MC Casual with this one, but I dont know whether I'm ready for the gauntlet of SW+D yet.

Terrific fit! Your shirt collars always look outstanding. Are these recent BB purchases or older models? I ask because there seems to be a common suggestion that BB collars aren't as great as they once were but yours always look great.

That's a nice, comfortable everyday fit. SWD doesn't really like nice, comfortable, everyday fits.

    Where is the denim from?

I feel your pain. Flying down to Florida for the weekend. Tropical weather is supremely overrated.

Thanks always to everyone who takes the time and trouble to post pictures of themselves.

Why I don't take mirror selfies.....

Early this morning at UCLA Medical Center after I spent around an hour and a half walking there from my place during a slight drizzle. Brooks Brothers corduroy jacket that I got in the late sixties (with one missing cuff button, several spots that won't come out, and a few holes in the lining), Jim Thompson pocket square, and Land's End yellow PPBD shirt and tan trousers.....

......since it wasn't drizzling very much, my shoes (Nordstrom saddle shoes that I got over ten years ago) didn't get very wet, even though about one third of my walk was cross crountry through high grass and shrubbery. The color of the Land's End trousers shows better in this picture.

When I walked back home a few hours later, it was still drizzly, but since I hadn't eaten since the day before (Doctor's orders before the procedure) I stopped and got something to eat (and sat outside in the drizzle).

On a large enough screen, you might be able to see that I have a wrist cord on my iPhone. I have no idea how people get by without having wrist cords on their phones. People must sometimes drop their phones and a wrist cord costs less than a new phone.

    I think you mean:

    IF tie=1 THEN bucket_hat=0

    Next time use a compiler.

Do schools still use OOL to weed out freshman and computer architectures to weed out juniors?

No idea. I was just kidding around. I have no computer skills at all - I'm actually writing this freehand.

The scale of the windowpane is exceptional here, as is the autumnal color palette. You wear this very well in a way most others wouldn't, which is the definition of personal style, I think! Well done.

When it gets "colder" (which is maybe 50F in San Francisco), this is my general weekend-wear theme. Gingham button-down under a cashmere v-neck, field coat, selvedge jeans, and boots of some sort. Pretty basic.

And that's why it works so well ;) Pretty much my everyday wear in the fall in NY/NJ if I don't have to get more business suited.

    Where's the coat from?
