I look forward to seeing the white Casentino since I feel like only Omar Shariff could pull it off...
    Good luck to @ajv

God I completely forgot about the creepy Beverly Hills uncanny valley people.

Great photo. One suggestion: could be improved by standing, hands on hips, directly in front of the gentleman in the blue jacket.

    LOL @Roycru that was hilarious.

It has been ages since I have posted anything... I am going to post something I just bought... it is not exactly what I wore today -all day- but it is what I was wearing up until five seconds ago... hahaha... had to take it off quickly because I was starting to sweat after five minutes... still too hot for that... but I might wear it in the early morning. I apologize in advance for the horrible lighting and poor quality picture...

I was thinking about maybe returning it... but I think I am going to keep it.

Yesterday. Went to the tailor to drop off some fall gear. 5 vests, 4 sport coats, and 3 trousers.

You know, at this point I click on the spoiler just to confirm that you're wearing the bit loafers.

Nice cargo's! I wonder where I might find cargo's for a very short legged person. I want the cargo pocket above my knees. :<)

    Cheers

I know that many of you don't like bit loafers and that's fine by me. I'm curious as to what type of shoe you (plural) would recommend for this outfit.

Strangely enough, I kind of like the bit loafers with this—with the crazy repp-stripe socks and all.

Just for the academics of it, though, I'll go out on a limb and say that just about any loafer will work where a bit loafer will work. Not because I hate them, necessarily, it's just a loafer only goes so far in being formal anyway, and a bit loafer, with all the bling all over it, is on the less formal side of this. Which is why we all break out in hives and urgent vomiting when someone wears them with a suit.

But you could go more formal, say with the sleek, dearly departed AE Westchester below (or its still-available $500 Alden counterpart), or less, with a standard beefroll penny like everybody makes. Hell, you could wear a driving shoe and it looks a lot like a bit loafer without the bit.

You could even do a suede oxford thus:

Though many people would say a closed-lace is too formal for anything but a suit SNORE whoops I fell asleep in the middle of that argument

I completely agree with you. Any loafer will do.

I also agree about a light suede oxford shoe... I use mine even with jeans sometimes... and I like a lot.

I think a saddle shoe or any brogue derby shoe would work fine with that assemble as well...
