All looks very sensible, in a good way. Jeans fit is particularly nice—not too short like most. Have you considered a higher collar? Might fill up your neck a bit.

Shearling > down jackets. Then again, I could wear either maybe 2 weeks a year. Zip sweaters pretty much always awful. I think I might've seen a halfway decent zip cowichan knit before...

Whatever, when it's really cold out, I'm wearing down all the way, and I don't even care how I look.

You're in the bay area, i.e. you can't talk about winter when there are people from the NE and Chicago area posting. God bless the canadians...

Thanks. This collar is lower-than-average, and I do like higher-than-average from time to time.

I own exactly one zip sweater, and I like it. Mine's dark green cashmere, and it's the perfect thing for lazy days in the cool weather. But I was pretty strongly anti-zip sweater until I put that one on, and even I admit it would be better with buttons.

Also, it was a fantastic deal.

@ Cleav, FWIW I have a prejudice against a tie with a blouson jacket. The rest of your rig looks great, replace the jacket with some kind of louchey unstructured blazer and you have a winner IMO.

@ghostface - another excellent fit. You are one of my favorite posters on SF, glad to see you x-posting here.

No need to ask for approval, just glad to see you don't mind attaching the stench of MC Casual to your fits.
