Not much, to be honest. Wool trousers aren't very practical in my daily life (bringing my daughter to school by bicycle, for instance). So, I most often wear the coat and sometimes the suit. Brownish tweed/donegal herringbone sounds great, or perhaps just a brown donegal, to let the flecks "speak for themselves".

I love it- but I think I'd like it better if the hiking boots were swapped out for a different kind of boot with the same color. They seem to clunky for the urbanity of the rest of the clothes.

Trickers is what leaps to mind, but I wonder if there are suede boots (that aren't ankle boots) that would work.

Aeglus- its striking how much the scarf guides the look.

Agreed. Those appear to be serious hiking boots, worthy of heavy packs and steep trails. They should be marred with talus scuffs and bear shit. Combining them with this refined outfit is like entering a wolf in a poodle show. Everything else is excellent, though.

I like that the sweater is unpretentiously loose. It looks comfortable and cool.

Thanks for the feedback guys...but to be honest, I've got plenty of "Proper" shoes/boots to go with this outfit. I intentionally stepped outside the box with these ecru-colored sole Hiking Boots. (I kind of want them to stand out as "Interesting/Odd".) I'll use them sparingly in this manner but they should add a bit of fun and ruggedness.

Sorry to be so late about this but I haven't been in this thread for some reason. I just wanted to say thanks for the support. All's right in the world again. :D

While probably lacking the fashuns vocab to express things correctly, I can tell you my reptile brain went holy shit! when I saw this. This is seriously good; the shoes, especially.
