NOBD- I thought I liked the buttons to start with, now I'm lukewarm. They look better in the closeup rather than the overall shot, coat looks more navy in the close up shot. Maybe that's what's doing it.

With all this peacoat discussion I figure this might be a good time to ask this question. I recently purchased one under the assumption it was navy but now that I have it, it is definitely black. Any tips for wearing a black peacoat?

I came across a gray "peacoat" yesterday with gray anchor buttons. I immediately thought of NOBD's button project, and I think they'd look even better on that gray coat.

I can imagine that, SB. Also that anchor buttons look even worse on a grey peacoat.

FWIW, the peacoat Craig wore in Skyfall had brown horn buttons as well, though they were a good deal darker than the ones NOBD got.
