1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

You'll get used to them. I've had mine for 18 years and I'd rather not be without them.

i have had glasses for 17 years. :)

contacts for about 10 of those 17. much prefer contacts, and only wear the glasses once a week, per the doctors orders. i love how my glasses look, but i am very fidgety by nature, so im not nearly as comfy in glasses as i am in contacts. oh well.

Odin's beard! How has this picture gone without comment? He has two shields and chainmail armor hanging right next to the couch!!! Clearly we have a shortage of manliness around here if these things go unheralded.

    Fixed it for you.

I think on this forum, the forumites would be more impressed by the cashmere robe than the chainmail anyway.

Let's put it this way; when an ascot and braces gets more love than chainmail, it isn't nerdiness that is lacking.

Kai posted a pic of himself in the chain mail and helmet and got a few thumbs, so it did not go unheralded.

Is that a pocket square in your robe pocket?

To each their own, but man that's way over the top for me. Putting on a robe, then it? Holy shit tacos.
