Agree, Pinstripes are for suits only. I have seen the combo work, in the context of swapping the suit jacket for a very plain black leather jacket and ditching the tie. In this case there is too much contrast between formal and casual for me.

Not sure I see why it would be a miss, those are plain old cotton chinos.. Jacket is RRL, so are the striped pants..

^ Fits well. Solid tan (lighter than the jacket) or cream pants would be better.

Also needs a proper shirt. The v-neck, seersucker pants, and bucks look give off a Jersey Shore-meets-WASP vibe.

Once our boy started getting bigger the car became real small, real quick.

Jeans are BillyReidxLevis 511. I like them, and they have long floundered in the back of my closet until this month. Now I've been wearing them pretty regularly.
