They were probably altered not considering that linen creases would have shortened them, however they look fine to me, in this case are the sleeves of his shirts to be too long (or cuffs too wide)

It is the sleeves of the shirt are too long. It needs one more wash to shrink yo the proper length.

    I just got a new #1 jacket.

It's not deep navy, so it doesn't look like a suit top.
    It's a slightly lighter blue.

It's also got a hopsack texture giving it some casual edge.
This is key to pulling off a jacket that doesn't look like you just grabbed your formal suit top from the closet
There is no structure, and the material is somewhat thin, also adding to casual vibe. (Not a stuffed suit)

It works with wool dress pants, with corduroys, with jeans.

I can wear it to the office.
I can wear it our to dinner or a party.
I can wear it running errands on weekends.

It is a true versatile workhorse that will get the crap used out of it.
I will post a photo when I return from my weekend jaunt.

Please post your jacket that fits this role.
Also post brand and price and where you bought it.

Actually, the jacket is way too big in the shoulders, truth be told.

Do you recognize the gentleman beside him?

Never thought I'd say this, but Vox looks underdressed

    Worsted vs. Tweed
    FC vs BD
(Lapel pin vs no lapel pin  )

I do recognize Mittens, but absent any other contextual info, it's impossible to know whether he's overdressed or B is underdressed. I will wager, though, that the tweed was perfectly acceptable for the occasion.

Wonder what the occasion was. Anyone care to hazard a guess?

You reckon Vox was summoned to reveal the details of his MBT?

Mitten's fit might be more formal, but he misses the small things

    Points against Mitt:

    -Lack of PS
    -Lack of shirt cuff
    -No tie dimple

PS... fey, affected, would alienate everyone from Florida to Ohio
Tie dimple - sloppy, soft. With Iran and Syria in the news, a dimple projects weakness.
Cuff - can't help you there. Maybe he needs a good shoulder rub.

Hey Reevolving..its from a brand called Kroon Tech...grabbed at Nordstroms on sale for just over a $100..I bought and threw it on with no tailoring whatsoever..which for me never happens.. its a cotton unstructured unlined jacket.. I've used it with a shirt, tie and slacks and dressed it up.. or in that pic with jeans and loafers and dressed it down.. one of my few go too warm weather jackets that I utilize frequently..hope the info helps..
