Looks very good. You make 6'8" look more like 6'2", if that makes sense.

Thanks Mr. Moo! Yea it makes sense..its all about proportions when it comes to clothes I feel....people tend to stare at me when I'm in a room all the time.. so I try to wear clothes that down-play my height.. not always successful though, lol

I was searching through SF to find this thread and while looking through the SW&D WAYWRN I was so shocked at some of the pictures on that thread

. Anyway, i'm glad I found THIS thread as I think my casual style fits this better.

Anyway, since it's my first post, do you guys think my tie knot is too big for my collar?

Went for hashtagMenswear today, my last working day of the year...off to sunnier climbs tomorrow.
Sorry about the bathroom pic, only thing I had time for.

Elaborate on the shock of the SWD thread :foo: Tie knot seems a little large, a fih with one wrap oughta do it. Would prefer a BD collar with the cardigan but there's nothing wrong with what you've got, IMO. Would also prefer brown toned shoes but also not a big deal

You got a momotaro going to battle tie? :wow:
Agree with Shoreman on the knot being too large. Nothing wrong with your collar. Collars are very much subject to personal taste imo.

Welcome! I'm not a fan of knit-on-knit combos myself, but I suspect you'll get a lot of love for that outfit. The separate pieces are all nice.

If you're gonna go full on preppy you've got to get yourself a better looking piece of outerwear.
So, me now. Christmas, PRL sweater and Trenker jacket. More right there: http://the-bigwig.blogspot.com/2012/12/prawie-swieta.html

I'll be SO glad when Christmas is over so I don't have to look at these abortions sweaters any longer.

theBigwig: With that sweater, I think you should leave the jacket unbuttoned. If for no other reason than to hurt Rambo...
