your color choices are much improved, but the tie is a little too puke green. maybe something like a solid navy knit would look killer here. would work well with the textured jacket.

sweater too big, shirt inappropriate for casualness of the rest of the outfit

This is not casual at all, but, seriously stiches, you are making MASSIVE improvements as if out of nowhere! I agree with Teger, the tie could be a slightly different shade of green, but, still, the overall look--especially the shirt--is kicking some serious ass! I always loved you--totally homo--for your sense of humour and kind-heartedness, but, now, it may be for your style, too! ;) (More the sexual stuff, though.)

Next step: Trimming that beard! :p (No offence, but, on a bigger guy, a shorter beard looks best, because it slims one's face; not adds to it.)

New try... I need a tripod and a better camera. For now a picture seated. The shirt is gingham checked but not obvious in the picture.

This comes from a fellow bearded man - do you really want to keep the neckbeard? There's no need to go full-out metro but twice a week with a trimmer goes a long way..

Trimming around the neck will be nice if you want a "clean" bearded look. But, from my bearded times, I think it's not easy. I always went too far and had to shave all of it.

P.S. "Bearded" is a word, right? My english is not that good and sometimes a find new words ;)

Two fingers above the centre of your adam's apple, should be about right.
