There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    A self-confessed yup, a dandy and a dork walk into a bar...

    What's the punch line?

The collar points on this shirt are very short. 2.25" I believe, so it can cause the effect of flopping down rather than staying up. My slight hunch is making it worse I believe. I don't think it is too much of an issue.

I have absolutely no idea what point you are trying to make here.

Did anyone actually say that or did you just make it up?

I actually went back to check and someone said turning up your jeans is 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 in dandyism, so I guess they sorta said it but i think you're really stretching it to make an objection here.

FWIW I think upturned jeans are like turnups on dress trousers - a trend or a preference but to cuff is neither more nor less dandyish than not to cuff. I don't think that was aimed at me anyway but I think I'm losing the will to live with this shit so I'm out!

So leaving aside my claim up thread that a dandy is unobtrusive, i.e. the very opposite of 'looking for attention' , the word 'dandy' doesn't actually appear in the sentence you highlighted.

Now what were you saying about ad hominem?

ok since you are being difficult let me rephrase my statment.

Upturned jeans are signs that you are seeking for attention?

People at MC never seem to amaze me.

To clarify, cardigan stood out as dandy or interesting or whatever, but not normal or run of the mill.

Upturned jeans stood out as well. My mention of dandy for the cardigan did not extend to the jeans.

Is a "Stark" a brand or make of cardigan or something? You all seem to know what it is. Some of you seem to regard it as badass or something, doesn't seem that unusual to me, and the color is subdued.

    this thread has gotten interesting.

the stark is a sweater made by the SNS herning company, it comes in many colors, and yes, it is badass.

It's the shoes that bug me. They're too petite for the top. All in all, I'd say stuff doesn't go together - I really like that overshirt (?)/ jacket, but I think it'd look better with a solid flannel (light grey?) or OCBD, and, correspondingly, different pants. I'm like a broken record, so I'll say denimdenimdenim, but I think a heavy moleskin trouser could look nice, too - even some corduroys if the're more palatable than jeans. You could do a MOK-inspired look, for sure. Maybe some navy cotton trousers would work, too. And BOOTS. As it is, a bit incongruent (if we care about those sorts of things)

Your posture and demeanor in that picture make me think that you took this after getting pulled out of bed early so that you could go help some people bury a body in the woods.
