There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Shoes look nice on you, Stitch; much better than your pointy loafers :). Trousers are brown (?) cotton?

Some beat up denim would've been more appropriate here. Nice shoes, stick to that last please!

It was hardly an attempt, and more of a triumph.

    I liked your outfit though.

thanks hendrix. sadly, i dont do well in denim comfort wise. :(

i know that last works for my build, and id do well to stick with it, but i cant resist the sleeker lasts for my dressier shoes. :embar:

Red, white, and blue :). Happy 4th!

I know my outfit isn't SF-approved, so I'm posting just to hear some feedback. I have a fair amount of solid colored shirts like this that I bought before reading this site, and I'm not a huge fan of them now. They seem so-so casually, but I try to avoid wearing any to work now.

    [IMG][IMG]

What I think would be better would be to:
    * Get a shirt that isn't a solid, dark color. Perhaps a mini-check purple/blue/red to go with jeans instead. That seems to look good on outfits I see.
    * Get jeans that have a better waist. It seems like most jeans I see on here have a waist that goes straight across. I don't know what causes mine not to, but I'm guessing it's a cut issue, and I think it looks peculiar.
    * Get decent shoes. I had purchased the AE Neumok Snuff Suede from the picture they had on their site with the contrast white stitching, but apparently that's not what they really look like. Thinking I'll return them and perhaps get a light brown loafer or dark brown/burgandy monk. I don't know that those would go well with these jeans, but perhaps with other casual clothing.

Is what I'm assuming on the right track?

Appreciate any feedback, and happy 4th of July :).

    Ok, just a suggestion, but...

You seem to be more interested in purchasing/collecting items then developing actual style.

I suggest you stop buying socks, ties, pocketsquares, cufflinks etc etc and focus instead in finding a bespoke tailor for your work clothes, and finding a design aesthetic you like that works with your body type over on SW&D.

Browse SW&D, look at runway shoes for inspiration, find a couple of designers who you think you like and experiment.

As nice as the details may be in lux brand RTW, it doesn't count for anything if the fit isn't there and the person doesn't naturally fit the lux look. Socks, 1 million fold ties, pocket squares, watches etc are give or take and I think confuse the underlying style here and cause people to become obsessed with items instead of personal style.

It's a trap easily fallen into.

bnovc, your outfit might not be SF-approved but you keep it simple and clean, a good foundation to start from!
Am interested myself in what others have to say regarding the fit of the jeans.

I think this looks great. I'm a fan of the higher button stance on the jacket, and I'm liking the club-collar look more each day. Where's the suit from?
