Wearing these at the moment...five years and counting...

I have a second pair that I haven't worn yet.

Ah yes, jeans...they are the closest thing in the West to Mao Tse Tung's or Kim Jong Il's working man's jumpsuit -- the attempt to wear the clothes of the everyman, and so to belong to the correct group (regardless of whether they cost upwards of $200 a pair -- they must, because that's how hard it is to get such an inferior material to look half way decent and be in any way comfortable to wear.)

+1000 Holdfast was a great sport towards all the criticism about his jeans. Ian clearly didn´t read any of the comments, otherwise he wouldn´t have worn those. It´s a seinfeld wash and fit, and that will never ever look good.

You mention you've got a 4 year old but this look comes off as "i wish i was at least 5 years younger, single, and working my way through college"

I like this. Not so much the magenta socks, but what the hey. The pink shirt is a nice touch.

And there's a new dolt in town. You probably should just go try Ask Andy's; you'll be a lot happier there. The Trad section, maybe. But not here.

Just an observation...a bit touchy, aren't you. Sorry to barge in on your clique. Didn't know the locals were so keen on pissing on fences around here...

This is a test of the MC Casual Style Thread. If this had been an actual casual fit, you would have been instructed to activate your screensaver.

This was only a test. We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread.

I'm not really sure what this means. I think it is pretty easy to look good in a pair of Levi's 514 jeans. For $200, you can get a lifetime's supply.

I prefer your business wear. The quilted jacket and scarf look pretty feminine to me.

This looks good. I think CTP could give Parker a run for his money for second place in terms of best combo SW&D and MC.

Just got back to reading the posts prior to mine.... :embar:

I only have one pair of denim jeans, well the other one has holes and I use it for tooling around in the garage or doing yardwork - I'm not much of a jeans guy. Now I'm searching around for what makes jeans good and shades, etc.
I'll hold off on taking pics of my jeans.....until then we can all just

btw, would chinos have worked in this case? I do prefer those instead
