I'm enjoying the fashion argument, but just so the record is crystal clear, most folks don't walk, talk or dress like Ace -- but it's his prerogative. What's your beef with LA, Fuuma?

Sorry dude. First fit you've posted that I dislike/
Dunno what it is, maybe the overly informal but put together thing, I just can't dig it.
FWIW the pants, haircut, and ink look good though.

That's funny. I'd say pants are a bit tight, but I am digging the shirt. There's a time and place for something that loud. I like it. I don't think I'd ever personally wear it, but it looks good.

+1, and you can almost see a bit of pocket flare on the pants popping from just below the shirt

Idiot here with a stupid question: how do the SW&D crowd solve the basic problem of fit?

Shirts can be darted and the sleeve length shortened, but armholes tend to be low.

In North America, outerwear that's sized numerically usually means imports, which can be expensive for some people. I happen to be between a small and a medium, which means I often fill out a small-sized item very well. But what if I were slightly bigger or smaller?

I have relatively thin thighs but fat calves. What works for my thighs usually doesn't work for my calves. Buying RTW trousers means roomy thighs, which produce a poor silhouette with my rather flat back if I wore a well-fitted shirt.

Buying RTW casual wear for me means sticking with certain brands, which may not be stylish. Even when things fit, they can't compare to tailored fit.

So, how do the best guys on the other side deal with this? Do they make things fit, make things look like they fit, keep looking until something that fits is found, or is streetwear just unkind?

I'd ask over there, but thought it might benefit the MC side more, and I might look less stupid.

You need to hang around the SWD for a while to see what is up on these matters. Different brands have different fits, and people find what works for them. Look for someone with your build who posts good pics and just ask them what they are wearing.

I agree with those that like the shirt. I've had my eye on some similar ones but don't know if I'd be able to pull it off as well NYRanger does.

I also really like those longwings. I just got the navy shortwings from LeatherSoul and it's nice to see something similar in a fit pic like that.
