I find this comment intriguing. Can you elaborate and perhaps make a suggestion?

Yep. This guy, and the real hob chic photo you're thinking of is him, too. I found this while digging through the history of a blog of someone who used to work for him. It's clear from the blog she thought he was great. I'm also pretty sure that yesterday a photo of him in a leather jacket was posted over in the RRL thread.

On Corbera's photo, I don't like the quilted vest with the short leggings with soft shoes; its just a train wreck to me.

+1, I'm not sure what you mean by get rid of the belt... what is the "bad thing" the combo alludes to?

I'm not sure, either, but I'm with him on the belt being distracting. Maybe it's because it matches so well the shoes.

I like both, but they are in bright and shiny in the context of the subdued pants. The shirt is the flash item and theres that theory that only one item should really stand out, not many.

Nice boots, but the T-shirt and chinos combination does nothing for you (and probably would have a pretty hard time doing anything good for anyone). In fact, the T-shirt just emphasizes the worst things about your body shape - at least from the angle of this photo.

Didn't get to bed until ridiculously late last night, so was definitely not in the mood to put on anything remotely involving a tie or even a shirt this morning. Nonetheless, I had to be a couple of notches above loungewear to go out in the morning, so I figured I might as well post a pic in this thread, especially given the recent discussion about what kinds of fit might or might not work here. BTW, that's a thickish cashmere jumper (not a T) under the jacket, in case the full-length pic doesn't make it obvious. Everything pretty soft & loose, much like my sleep-deprived mind.

Apologies for both the lack of a smile & the lack of Schuman-approved leggings...
