I still like it when the whole look is entirely purged of #menswear elements, sadly this isn't the case of the unfortunate outfit he posted.

Jacket isn't really that short. Pants seem to be a bit baggy through the "fork"

edit: SC doesn't really fit on around the collar in a great way, might be the posture though.

Some week ago I went out for a stroll in the first spring sun, wearing this. Socks too much for ya?

Dude... this isn't half bad. The pants are a little over-tapered IMHO, but really - you should post more. At least in the interest of getting this thread back on topic.

and I'm pretty sure one of those "hobo chic" pix were of a guy who of course looks totally homeless but is in fact the world-wide sourcing executive for all of Ralph Lauren's stores! :nodding:

You could actually learn something from him CDhagg. First pic and he looks rather good. You´ve been trying too hard for too long and failing too much. Take a queu.

I actually sort of like this because of the overall shape of the fit (coat volume plus slim leg), the tech fabric and the quilting, although I would not wear it myself. I don't look good in voluminous outerwear.

I can see why it would not be popular with everyone.

I agree that the jegging/shorts have a whiff of '93 going on. The coat looks a bit like a trash bag or one of those coverups you buy for $10 at a football game to keep off rain, which is partially why I like it. It probably cost $1,500 lol.

Get rid of the belt. The shirt is nice but the belt in combination khakis is alluding to a bad thing, which even the excellent fit of everything can't escape. I would taper the pants a bit and lose the crease.

I've discovered that a good pair is really unnecessary here so I've put them up on a shelf until such time as they are needed.
