Are you still talking about boots?

@ NYR Not sure about the shirt...
After the last day or two of pleasant ramblings in this thread, I thought that it would be useful to drop in this recent Scott Schuman blog post, unedited except for what I bold:
This gentleman captures what I find to be most interesting in menswear right now: quilted nylon, shorts over leggings, full volume outerwear, layering and dark yet rich color palettes.
This look scares me but inspires me, which is the best you can ask for in a look. I’ve gone back to this picture several times trying to figure out which elements would work best for me, and the answer that keeps coming up is: basically all of them.
I don’t know if I’m brave enough to wear shorts over tights in a ‘day wear’ setting, though I already do when I’m exercising…so maybe this picture will make me re-examine what I wear to the gym.
Today’s photograph and the photograph from yesterday will, I think, be the two images this season that will have the most long-lasting influence over (at least) my style for the next year or so.
Naturally, I look forward to the coming year.
He looks very mentally stable.
Jesus christ this is terrible. You look like every Euro tourist that goes out at night down here. ESPECIALLY with the socks and the shirt. You're really only missing a few more gold chains.
That Sartorialist fit is pretty bad. Surely he must be kidding.. The bottom half reminds me of circa 1993 Pearl Jam..
It wasn't that long ago that he was obsessing about this kind of look.
About time someone posted a fit to get this threak back on track..
I am forever lurking, but figured I might make a post.
I like this. They will tell you the jacket is too short, BUT DON'T YOU BELIEVE THEM.
