is it a good idea to pair black with brown/burgundy loafers?
To me it got at least two issues. One is that these colors look best with colors other than black(e.g. burgundy would look better with navy/blue). Two, if you go with black trousers and dark/black jacket(I imagine black suit most likely) your shoes are lightest/brightest of the three, which is rarely a good look in classic menswear.

Another thing perhaps is that black usually goes with evening wear and loafers go with daytime low-formality ensemble. Not sure that mixes well, outside of maybe black loafers(which have their own problems but still easier to pull with black imo).

Thanks for the input.

I usually pair these loafers with denim/khakis but I got these cotton/linen pants (no creases or pleats) for the summer, should have thought twice before choosing black though.

Now I have to consider what shoes to wear with these pants LOL.

It's the Rozsnyai Galway.

These are the specs:
- Model: 333/21 - galway boots
- Last: 333
- Leather: darker brown suede and shady mid brown calf (as on sample model)
- Lining: mid brown
- Sole: normal leather sole + full VIBRAM rubber
- Welting: one row english welt (made by hand)
- High of shaft: ~15-16cm
- Decor: no brogue, only straight stitches on cap
-Eyelets/speedhooks: 4 eyelets plus 4 speed-hooks
