    I find soaked and then frozen jeans to be somewhat uncomfortable.

    Assuming you are actually going to ride the sled and not just help someone else ride it...

    also, that you can disassemble that sled to pack it flat is awesome on three separate levels.

    Ah, no I'm not going to ride it myself. :)

    Yes, it's a nice construction. However, after I 'lost' my daughter last year (I accelerated too enthousiastically), I put a "back support" (not sure what to call it) on it, and disassembling is a pita now, so I don't bother...

    I have daughter coming in less than a month, but it'll be a few years before the sledding starts!

    Waterproofing spray will keep jeans dry-ish for a morning or afternoon of frolicking in the snow.
