I find it quite amusing that a lot of times, the MC Casual is pretty much the same as the MC Not-so-casual, but with a different jacket colour/pattern.

So what you are saying is that it's amusing that MC casual is pretty much the same as MC except for pretty much everything? Brilliant commentary.

^^ Yes, if the colour of a jacket equates to everything.

    This. Or just stack them.

Or, heaven forbid, take them in to get them hemmed.

But those are new? They're ok... but they don't really look like good denim, say like Gnatty's do. I'd say, take them back and get something good.

yeah, like i said, gap, 5 bucks on clearance.

Gonna list them on ebay and see if I can get something decent. Thinking levis. I don't really do "mod" denim

Those have the right cut for you, I think. A pretty modern one at that. I've just developed an allergy to denim that has the look of careless acid or stonewash. It reeks of not caring what you wear, and in SF terms is right up there with wearing a Jos A Banks suit.

I do like well done distressing, like can be found on some RRL, KMW, or Spellbound. Its the stuff that looks generic that drives me up the wall.

For Levis, take a look at Levi's Vintage Collection or Levis Made and Crafted. Last week Mr Porter had good deals on Made and Crafted.

Gnatty, not feeling those dark shirt + tie combos ... the coats look really nice though!

This is mostly just trolling- if you don't think MaoMao's fit a few pages ago is casual, you have some learning to do- but there is a kernel of truth.

This thread clearly hasn't found its place yet; its all over the place in quality, there is little unique, and there is nothing like a house style.

Partly that is due to not having a set of constantly good fit posters yet (keep it up, gnatty!, where are you NOBD?). The best casual stuff of the more or less MC age set is still on SW&D: think Zissou and Man of Kent. And Neo is nowhere and everywhere. Zissou and Neo have their styles down and are consistently wonderful. Man of Kent is great because he is still exploring lots of things. My ideal for this thread would be a combination of Parker, NOBD, Gnatty, Zissou, and Neo- leaning towards sportcoats and jeans and to leave the black leather quilted double riders, white tees, and jeans mostly over on SW&D.

It'll come. Probably be in place by next Christmas.

    ps- I like Gnatty's leather!

The purple on the shirt is a brilliant shade. Like it.

Somewhat snarky, but when I browse through the thread I see a lot of 'casual day at the office' instead of 'casually dressed on a day off'. I don't expect to see drop crotch skinny jeans, but I expect everyone to loosen up a bit in a thread like this.

Now that I buy- keep up the warfare against biz-cas. That is like the hardest thing to do interestingly, and this thread could turn into a dreadful zone pretty quick.
