1. I'd like to announce that animated avatars are now available again. You'll have to reload, but they are once more possible.

We've been doing a ton of work behind the scenes. The site load speed was already under 1/2 of what Huddler's was, on average, and we installed cloudflare, which means that the site should be even faster. A ton more will go on in the weeks and months to come, and some things will be more visibile, and some less.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

Wow, that trials jacket is awesome! Details? Also, it looks like some are your trousers are a little loose for my taste, but that might be your style. Over all great looks. I like seeing people pull off white jeans in the fall/winter.

Jesus christ. That might be the first ever candidate for 6-pattern Bingo.

Ah. Forgot socks. I'm so used to wearing obnoxious bright colored ones "fair isle" didn't even register as a thing.

In all seriousness, I do tend to mix patterns a lot though, and I think I might have gone a bit overboard here. I was hoping they're all subtle enough patterns that I could get away with it if my jacket, vest and pants were solid colored though...

Meh- too much, no harmony, but nothing I can put my finger on.

The more I think about it the more I think the major problem is the scarf. Gonna try something a little blander there, I think that will ratchet it down to acceptable levels.

Here's two images, the first from Parker over on SW&D just the other day, the second from Trini's pre-2009 Hall of Fame thread, of who I don't know.

My take away from these two is their lovely sense of minimalism: each uses texture in place of pattern. This is closer to the SF main line, and in some sense what I mean by harmony.

I had to dig a little, and do a search for the complete name... Probably my alltime favourite WAYWRN poster.
