1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

You're too funny. And no. Iso, I would surmise beats them off with a stick. Lol

I was doing my best to keep it clean and avoid a condom reference. I'm laughing so hard my phone almost fell in the basin during my pedicure.

Very nice @Yorker. Try tucking the sweater under the hem of your navy jacket and I give you 100%.

You are very daring to post this fit in the heat of the blue blazer gray pants debate on the classic menswear thread. Maybe they won't see it. Lol

@Isolation I like that jacket a lot. Great colors. And I see where you're going wit the sweater... It's a good idea and almost there as others have suggested.

    @chulillo welcome back!

    This bears quoting. :)

You guys are making me jealous with your green sweaters. I'm on the hunt for one and can't seem to find the right combination of shade and fit. I'd grab that NMWA one if it were in my size.

Haha if only to explain it, the rollneck is intentionally um... chunky around the neck:

I don't understand, it's rolled over, it can't actually be worn without being rolled several times because of how long it is.

Then I would return it and find one that rolls over normally...this one is clearly made for giraffes.

MAYBE I WANT TO CHANNEL MY INNER GIRRAFE, WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST IT

but yes I do have some more traditional roll necks. =P I do like this though. It's a bit different, but, eh.

    different in a bad way.

plus the fact that now you are trying to introduce a feminine outfit into your classic menswear wardrobe. Not that there is anything wrong with a man dressing like a woman. But...it does inherently clash with 'classic menswear'.

also...this picture above looks like an amish woman. apparently amish clothes are trending now in fashion circles??

Iso, hers is rolled much more flattering than yours. Maybe it's your technique or your tailor needs to reduce the roll a bit.

Generally I think you'd have to play with the proportions of the other elements around something more feminine in a classic-menswear-inspired outfit. Degree of difficulty would be high, but an androgynous middle-ground could be an interesting place to be if it worked for you. Probably more a SW&D side of the fence approach than what we see here, but I'm all for blurring the lines if you're willing.

As for the amish/prairie thing, some is closer to that than others, but women's fashion is definitely playing with a lot more shapeless forms, simple fabrics, and mostly unsaturated colors these days.

Some of these are exaggerations to prove a point, but stuff like this is at stores in SF right now for sure.

Spirit of Shetland can make one to your measurements in the same wool (Spindrift Conifer) for about £65. I got that exact colour a few months ago and love it.

Thanks guys. Been quite busy lately. I had a few pictures taken, I will be posting them over the next few days... don't want to saturate you all at once :p
I own several green sweaters in different shades and textures. Green is a color I really like to use in the fall and winter, and not only for sweaters, I use it for trousers, socks, jackets, etc... I think it is a very versatile color to use in a casual outfit.
