Navy is better than black (what I originally thought). But still, I think the shirt and pants say daytime casual but have a sort of rustic rural feel and the zippered cardi you've put over is solid dark and patchy and it feels sleek and urban to me, like something sporty or sleek so better with slim sweats and runners or something. For that shirt and jeans, to me a third layer that makes more sense is more like a chunky knit like a stark, or light wool/tweedy type coat, or probably even a vest or something, assuming you want a third layer there. and maybe I'm too formulaic, but with colors like blue and red, I tend to look at other primaries like green, or maybe some neutrals like navy or white, but not too much, so like white runners, or just a navy vest, etc. I have a thing for red/white/blue as a combo (blue jeans, red shirt, white sneaks, or red runners, blue pants, white shirts like OCBD or linen, etc). Anyway, this is clothes, nothing complicated and it looks fine, but I think it could look better too.
That's an interesting point. Is that because the shirt/jeans are light/warm and the jacket is dark/cool? I actually liked the contrast, but perhaps it is too stark.
Jacket is navy, what color do you think would have worked better?
