1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The rumples result from alternating tensions in parallel threads. There is no reason this cannot be done in wool, it just never or rarely is.

I am too much of a purist to appreciate seersucker in anything but cotton.

I ask not because the jacket looked like it might be made of wool, but because it doesn't appear rumpled.

So it's the "exact" (as can be) same cut? Looks more padded, guess it's the fabric. Great fit anyway but no fucking beige trousers and tan shoes with it please.

I don't know if it is the "exact" same, but we didn't talk about it being different. That said, they do change my shoulders from time to time without my asking, and definitely cut different fabrics differently, so you are probably right.

FWIW, my summer pant selection sucks. I have a pair of white chinos that might work, but it is definitely a hole for me, mainly because I like wearing flannel about ten times more than any other fabric for pants.

    It is rumpled. I swear.

I'm surprised to see that fit show up. I still can't figure out how to wear that jacket well. Do you think white jeans would be good?

You didn't ask me, but what about dark red cords?

    Summer jacket ≠ winter pants.

The jacket needs to be worn with something much more casual or else it will always look like an ice cream man uniform.

Try scruffy facial hair and a cigar.

You think a fine whale cord would be too unseasonal?

Is that a universal statement about white jeans, or do you think they would be bad with the jacket in question? I thought about pink, but that might be going overboard. I don't like to call attention to myself. [IMG]

I think white pants with that jacket would be Bad. But now that you mention it, I don't like white jeans. They have a Flashdance vibe to me. That, however, was not the reason for my objection to your suggestion in this context.

Summer or light cream white flannel, brushed cotton, or gab would look good.

One eye-catching item per ensemble, hence no pink.

FWIW, I don't hate the khaki with that coat.

I'd prefer light cream to white.

One advantage of pink, though, would be that no one would notice if you dripped the strawberry.

Wool is not inherently non-summer. Cords are.

Still, if your point is that you want to show instances of your doing things wrong by my calculation, there are plently of other examples.
