I've never been too interested in scarves but I recently got one (cashmere) and would like to know the proper ways to wrap them. Are there videos/photos that explain it?

Thanks.

I used to know a site that had many ways to wrap a scarf, unfortunately I don't remember what it was...

There are many ways to do so though, one of the more common bring to tie it in an overhand knot in the front.

I would also be interested to see what others have to say on the subject, resources are something I am always working toward getting.

You can tie it in a half windsor knot, thats always fun. Or you can hold it in half then lay it over your neck and pull the two sides through the hole on the other side.

Hrm, I'm not getting a visual. Any photos that show this, or a video on YT?

I find that the manner in which tio tie the scarf really depends on how open the Coat is and how long the scarf is. Neither wrap is mutually exclusive of wearing a tie. For example while both of the pics above close the throat, The orange striped scarf tie shown above doesnt work that well when the scarf is only 6 feet long. (typical men's scarf). In that case you are better off tying it as the burgundy one shows. You would attain that tie by beginning to tie a four in hand not and then after the first wrap around just straighten out the top so that its just under your chin. Many people simply drape it around the neck when wearing a 59 inch scarf and then drape one side over the other in front of the chest but I find that that will constantly open up and reveal the throat.

Agreed, If the coat is closed more, the four-in-hand type tie I found does not work as well.

I've been wearing a shorter scarf lately, and failed to mention the Italian loop tie. I personally used to wear a scarf that way a lot, until it got lost, and I got the shorter one.. I now have a long one again (Thanks sister!), and will probably go back to the old ways. Although, I have a bad habit of tying it differently almost every time I go out side.
