Wax polish or shoe cream?

What's your take on this? I end to use wax polish, but on my older shoes (which have developed a nice patina), use a neutral shoe cream or Dasco 2020 (strips old wax, creates shine). Balance, I guess! Wax is, of course, good for restoring/developing colour. Tend to use wax/cream on older shoes. No overkill.

You seem to have a plan so I say stick to it.

I'm aware of the 'for' or 'against' arguments for shoe cream over wax polish, my point is really that as shoes age and develop a patina over time a neutral shoe cream just brings them up a bit better, and you don't risk wax build up which masks the true colour. Then again, stick with it and you'll have HRH shoes in 40 years time. Those shoes are magnificent - museum pieces really!

A squirt of WD40 on bait brings the fish in, so it may indeed work for your bald patch.
