I believe Halliburton already owns the rights to this moon water field. They were secured during a closed-bid auction process during the Bush-Cheney administration.
NASA is the biggest ******* waste of time ever. We should be charting the oceans and all the species that live there. We know there's life there and what are we doing? We're slamming multi-billion dollar equipment into the moon for 25 gallons of frozen water.

Also water on the moon means that it can serve as a launch point and habitation... first step of space colonization.
Yeah... a seemingly infinite universe we know so little about that will no doubt be the most important part of our existence and we should divert all funding to the oceans? How about instead we stop funding the BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars of REAL pointless **** and focus on BOTH.

ummm, we spend tax dollars to learn that there's water on the moon? wtf?
Until there is something out in space that is worthwhile doing, or bringing back to earth, there really isn't much point.
