How did you settle on the Nomos and Bedat? They couldn't be more different.

I started wanting a rectangular or square and was looking at the Baume Hampton when I stumbled on the Bedat. In the course of my research I learned about the Nomos and became intrigued. I now want them both but can afford only one.

Still wondering why this advice to stay away from Bedat - do they make crappy watches or do you simply not like the styling, or what - anybody have any insight?
Thanks

FYI, I just got the Nomos as a gift and it is fantastic. Looks even better in person and it is the perfect size.

I'm reviving this thread because now I want a more casual watch. I'm still enamored with the Hampton Square on the rubber strap (although it might be a bit big). Given small wrist size, larger dive/pilots are not in the running. The Hampton is "on sale" at Amazon for 1600, down from an alleged 4999. Any thoughts/suggestions? http://www.ashford.com/ashford/brows...uctId=MOAO8749

I much prefer the Nomos Orion to the Tangente, as a dress watch. Lovely watch and great value.

Don't you just love how any watch thread instantly turns into a "I hate ('cause I can't afford) Rolex" thread?

I am not a fan, sorry. I feel that the square shape of the case does not suit a rubber strap.
