For those who live in DC - the Seersucker Ride/Social is coming up. I took part in the Tweed Ride last year and it was a lot of fun.

This is as good an excuse as any to get a seersucker suit. Though I think riding up to Hillwood in seersucker - or any fabric, for that matter - in the summer heat is not going to be pretty.

I'd be interested, but I'm reasonably certain the participants tend to roll right on through red lights and stop signs.

That is the polar opposite of civilized behavior, and I want nothing to do with it.

You're mistaking them for the drivers of cars, who run red lights and stop signs and who speed and drive drunk on the wrong side of the highway and who kill other drivers of cars, motorcycle and bicycle riders, and pedestrians. It happens to be completely civilized behavior.

It sounds like a good way to ruin a seersucker suit, IMO.
