1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

if you think about objectively, meeting dudes from the internet is no less weird than being led about the streets by a dog, and picking up its poop. neither are really all that sane imo.

Thursday is the new Friday. I think there will be folks inclined to stay out past 8:30.

I agree. I think the likelihood of us hanging around past 8:30pm is very high.

Great! The stingray did not die in vain. Its hide will be admired far and wide.

Given the state of the defense this year, that's entirely possible.

Couldn't get the link to work. Or is that what we were supposed to find?

Sorry, looks like SF automatically does strange things to Amazon links.

$50 buys $100 to spend on food and drink at Lost Society via Amazon Local.

I have a couple of questions:

1.) Does one need to "sign up" for this meetup for the purpose of a headcount?

2.) Is this meetup restricted to men? I have no plans to show up accompanied, so my question is just a matter of curiosity.

1.) Nope. We don't have reservations for dinner, so you can show up whenever you are available. Whoever would like to stay to eat is free to do so. No obligation.

2.) If DC had a shellshock, we would welcome her with open arms. :inlove: Female SOs who are not SF members are welcome, but you invite one at your peril. The conversations likely will bore her to tears.

zomg at the idea of a gf/wife at a SF meetup. i mean, if everyone was bringing SOs, that would be one thing, but to be the only woman, as AC said, at your own peril.

Weather will be fall-like (projected low 60s and raining), but the roof deck will be covered and the company will be good. Come on out!

So... I've got a 9am-5pm meeting at company HQ three hours to the northeast. On the bright side I get a couple hundred bucks in mileage to drive up there, and the subject is useful and relevant to my career; unfortunately it means I won't make the meetup.

    Have a good time!
