Dear experts, please advise:

I have a white and blue striped dress shirt (Hugo Boss, similar to the one in the picture), and I am wondering what would be the best way to wash it, so the colors won't bleed and to preserve it in the long run.

Would dry cleaning be the best option? At home with a washing machine? Hand wash?

I also have a similar one which is red, with narrow white stripes, so it's basically a general question of how to preserve multi colored dress shirts.

Thank you.

First, its launder, not dry clean. I'm not sure what type of washer you have but I would wash on gentle cycle in cold water and hang to dry, then iron.

The colours shouldn't bleed if the cloth is decent. The dyed yarn should have fasteners in them to prevent that. Wash cold or warm NEVER hot, gentle cycle. Hang to dry. Light iron. Pre-treat collars and cuffs if necessary to get the ring out. If taken to commercial laundry, NEVER Dry Clean, have them launder.

Shirts should never be dry cleaned and any respectable cleaning establishment will know to launder them rather than dry clean. The advice to wash in cold or warm water on the gentle cycle and hang dry is good general advice too. If the colors do bleed, it's a sign of a really low quality shirt and there's not much you can do to make low quality things last.
