Washing Dress Shirts & Separating Colors?

I wear a dress shirt for work every day, with the exception of sometimes wearing polos on Friday's. They need to be washed after every wear and I cannot get away with multiple wears as I work 10+ hours each day and they always have a slight "sweat ring" around the neck collar. I currently wash the shirts separated by color (whites/off whites & gray/blues/purples together) on a cold cycle then let them air dry and I hand iron them.

Could I save some time and money by not separating the shirts by color and just washing them all together on a cold cycle? I use Shout on the collars and obviously want to avoid the colors bleeding. I also occasionally wear black or navy blue shirts as well, do I need to separate those as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, you should separate them.

If you've ever tried to handwash anything with colour, you've also probably noticed how dark the water may become.

Light blues can be okay, but never blacks. Black and white makes dull grayish shirts.

The correct solution to this is to take all the dress shirts down to the laundry together and take the black and navy ones and place them in the trash while loading the whites and pale blues into the wash.

I hand wash my shirts after every wear...so I never have this issue.

I've washed all of my different colored shirts together and never had a problem. Considering that this has been my routine for over a decade, I have no reason to worry about colors bleeding.

Separation is necessary, especially anything with red.

I will on occasion wear black or navy "dress" shirts for casual or evening settings. I certainly see why many people dislike them but I honestly am a fan. I definitely wash those ones separate haha
