I've been looking for a while, but I can't seem to find any decent looking warm coats/jackets that would be suitable for 0 degree weather.

Anyone care to help me out? All of the coat/jacket related threads seem to be devoted to peacoats and varsity jackets.

Have you looked into duffle/toggle coats? Wool fabric, thick layer, long in length. Some even come with hoods. Classic Navy wear.

Check out http://www.gloverall.com/ or you can always search eBay for some. Good luck!

Canada Goose Chateau is decent looking and will def keep you warm.

I personally like the Cantwell jacket from Fjallraven...again will def keep you warm.

Are you looking for something more along the lines of a peacoat/duffle or more a parka type jacket??

Perhaps, god that price is outrageous. Would rather sift through real vintage parkas.

Anyway, despite the designer's insistence would likely be more functional with a dense 60/40 - 65/35 blends later developed than 100% cotton.

Down will always be the top choice

down + windproof or waterproof shell will be even warmer

as far as stylish warmth? I would go with a quilted nylon vest lining inside some sort of wool coat.

You should keep in mind though, gentlemen's clothing is not designed to frolick around in 0 degree weather. Gentlemen stay indoors or in coaches

No, seriously. Ventile cotton actually works as advertised.

Any coat with a Patagonia down vest under it

I just wear regular ass wool coats or an N3B, and when it gets super cold, I throw on some heat tech inners and a down vest, good to go and still look decent

Leather down jackets are my personal choice. Thicker leathers work well for windproofing, down provides great warmth. RO makes some great ones iirc

I've been looking for a winter parka as well, the EG storm parka caught my eye but I'm gonna go find it in store to try it on to see how it is. Canada goose is too out played here in Canada, everybody and their dog wears one
